This month’s charity is The Miracle League DFW. The Miracle League program provides an opportunity for children with challenges to play baseball. With a specially designed turf, friendly to wheelchairs, crutches and walkers, The Miracle League makes dreams come true. The Miracle League players each have a buddy to help encourage them to get to get around the bases and support them in the outfield.
The Miracle League was submitted by Rocketeer Jacqui Gray, who is very passionate about this organization and currently volunteers with the field in Arlington, TX as well as the future location in Southlake, TX (to be completed in 2015). Presently, there are 250 Miracle League organizations across the country including Puerto Rico, Canada and Australia. The Miracle League is proud to serve over 200,000 children and young adults with disabilities.
